A. pictum, also once known as A. striatum, can grow up to 10' tall, but the forms selected for gardeners and landscapers are far more well-behaved. They are often trained as standard specimens, but can also be used in containers and baskets. The species generally has yellow to orange flowers, but some selection has been developed.
